John W Berry ('12 Animation)
Animator, Illustrator, and Assistant Professor
Storyteller John Berry is an animator, illustrator, and Assistant Professor of Animation at KCAI. He's a co-founder of the multimedia startup, Strange Paper Studio. After graduating he worked as a Freelance Animator as well as a Concept Artist, Art Director, and Animator at Dream Studio in Kansas City. He was a featured animator on CinemaKC in 2014 for his short film “The Reset”.
He is currently working on an animated series and two comic books with Strange Paper Studio. He is also working in partnership with the Kansas City Royals and Animation students to produce a series of videos on self-care for young baseball players.
